Kartini Day is an annual Indonesian celebration on April 21st, to commemorate the birth of Raden Ajeng Kartini. Raden Ajeng Kartini is a National Hero of Indonesia in women’s emancipation, who aims to obtain the same rights as men, particularly in education. We tend to celebrate Kartini Day by wearing traditional clothes, which is in our case, a pretty kebaya!
Kartini is an inspiration for us, as a small and agile company that strives to promote highly qualified women in male-dominated sectors.
