Tri Hita Consulting team, represented by Julia Rahmi from the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) division alongside Verena Streitferdt and Kurniawan from the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management team conducted a site visit to PT Trinusa Resources’ operational area in Morowali, Central Sulawesi as part of an ongoing support for corporate sustainability integration.
The site visit encompassed strategic activities to strengthen Trinusa’s environmental and climate governance readiness. The engagement involved capacity building, during which Tri Hita facilitated ESG socialisation sessions with relevant internal divisions. These sessions introduced foundational ESG concepts and served as a platform to align departmental understanding with broader sustainability objectives.

In parallel, focused discussions were held on climate change and technical aspects of GHG inventory development. These covered scope definitions, boundary setting, and guidance on completing the initial data sheets for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, selected relevant Scope 3 categories (specifically Categories 1 and 9), and biogenic emission. These sessions brought together 20 participants, including representatives from contractors, subsidiaries, and Trinusa’s internal teams, reflecting cross-functional engagement in the GHG management process.
Beyond capacity-building efforts, the site visit also served to clarify preliminary findings from the ESG Gap Analysis and Materiality Assessment. Additional data was collected to improve the depth and accuracy of the assessments, ensuring a more comprehensive evaluation of Trinusa’s sustainability performance. Observations from the field were systematically documented to support further analysis.

As a result of the visit, Trinusa and its subsidiaries established a dedicated working group and designated technical points of contact across departments, streamlining data coordination and improving internal ownership of the sustainability agenda.
Tri Hita Consulting conducted the second Board of Directors (BoD) coaching session at Trinusa’s headquarters in Jakarta to follow up on the field engagement. This session was convened to present the Gap Analysis on Trinusa ESG Performance based on national and global ESG standards, such as the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA). Drawing from the findings, Tri Hita provided benchmark-based recommendations to guide strategic decision-making and chart the company’s pathway towards enhanced ESG maturity.
