Supporting Indonesia’s Energy Transition through Knowledge and Collaboration

In recent years, Indonesia has made significant strides in its commitment to cleaner energy and climate action. Yet, turning ambition into impact requires more than just policy intentions. It demands a strong foundation of knowledge and institutional capacity across sectors and stakeholders. To support this need, Tri Hita Consulting has been working alongside the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on the Renewable Energy Accelerated Transition (RE-ACT) Indonesia project.

This project focuses on strengthening the renewable energy policy ecosystem through knowledge-sharing, delivered via five tailored capacity building activities. To date, three sessions have been completed, covering topics such as carbon market mechanisms in Indonesia’s energy sector, financial feasibility and funding schemes for renewable energy projects, and energy statistics for energy planning. Participants included representatives from the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and other related institutions involved in energy policy and planning.

This project is enriched by the involvement of resource persons with expertise in each focus area, bringing deep knowledge and practical insights to every session. Tri Hita Consulting also applies a distinctive learning approach, reflected through:

✨Interactive and non-linear learning formats that move beyond one-way presentations and foster active engagement

✨Case-based exercises, both individual and group, using real scenarios and supported by relevant tools or software

✨Dynamic session flow, incorporating Q&A, open discussions, brainstorming, and interactive elements that make learning practical and inclusive

To ensure that the learning is both measurable and meaningful, each training includes comprehension tests to further help us as facilitators analyse and understand the gap and future support needed. These sessions are designed not only to strengthen participants’ understanding of technical concepts but also to support them in applying the knowledge within their institutional context and daily responsibilities.

Tri Hita Consulting values the opportunity to contribute to Indonesia’s energy transition through this ongoing initiative. We are excited to deliver the remaining sessions, continuing our work in building the capacities needed for a more sustainable and resilient energy future.
