We’re thrilled to share insights from the three-day Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Capacity Building program, held from July 8-10, 2025, at Trinusa Resources‘ headquarters in Jakarta! This hybrid event brought together Trinusa’s Board of Directors, General Managers, and cross-functional teams for an immersive learning experience.
This initiative is a continuation of our ongoing partnership with Trinusa, which began in late 2024 starting from supporting them in building a comprehensive ESG Gap Analysis. Building on that foundation, the capacity building sessions sessions were designed to deepen understanding of ESG gaps, identify actionable short-term strategies, and foster alignment around Trinusa’s evolving 2026–2030 ESG Roadmap.
Our Capacity Building Consultant, Giovanni Lucky, skillfully moderated the program, ensuring seamless flow and vibrant cross-functional dialogue. To provide the highest level of technical expertise and sector-specific insights, we brought in specialists from our core network of ESG experts:
- Verena Streitferdt shared practical strategies for climate action and greenhouse gas emissions calculation.
- Karl Heinz contributed insights from over three decades of environmental consulting in the mining sector to help Trinusa envision how Trinusa can foster sustainability and mining operations to co-exist in harmony
- Sulestyo Prabowo added perspectives on energy efficiency implementation.
- On social topics, Putri Handayani led discussions on stakeholder engagement, social governance, and climate adaptation
- Governance sessions were facilitated by Julia Rahmi, who brought her expertise in ESG compliance, legal frameworks, risk management, and environmental finance to guide participants through the complexities of sustainable corporate governance and emphasise the importance of good governance to ESG implementation.
Our support extended beyond the capacity building program. During the session, we identified immediate and impactful action plans that can be taken to inspire tangible ESG improvement outcomes. In the upcoming three months, the Tri Hita experts will advise and provide consultation for the team on how they can enact these key action plans.
