Verena Streitferdt, participated in OUR OCEAN Conference 2018 at Westin, Nusa Dua, from 29th to 30th October 2018. The main objective of this conference is to increase as well enhance the collaboration and partnership between various ocean stakeholders, which is translated into concrete and actionable commitments. For Pertiwi-Consulting, the OUR OCEAN Conference 2018 was interesting as it discussed social and technical solutions on the increasing plastic waste problem.
Verena participated in several sessions focused around green finance and technological solutions on waste management. Sessions discussed the challenge of finance, Commitments of the Industry, and the extent of the plastic pollution in the Oceans and necessary actions from Government and civil society. There are several interesting outcomes from attending this conference, such as Circulate Capital announces the launch of a USD 100 Mio fund for innovative technological solutions, the impact of plastic bans of city governments and recycling examples. .
Pertiwi-Consulting will closely monitor the announcement of Circular Capital fund tenders announced for Indonesia.
