An ESG and GHG inventory capacity building and site visit was held from July 29 to 31 in Semarang and from August 12 to 13 in Cikarang and Jakarta. Tri Hita Consulting recently partnered with PT ISTW Steel to enhance their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and conduct an ESG gap analyiss and GHG inventory. Given more and more environmentally linked export regulations, such as CBAM, we think that PT ISTW Steel is very strategic to focus on ESG at this point in time. This field visit/capacity building marked a significant step in PT ISTW Steel’s sustainability journey.
Led by a diverse team including Divine Wijaya (Environment & GHG Inventory Consultant), Rio Inggit Dharmawangsa (GHG Inventory Consultant), and Julia Rahmi (Legal/Gorvernance Expert), the program provided focused training on ESG, climate change (CC), greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions management, and GHG inventory. Tri Hita used interactive methods such as Focus group discussions, case studies, and menti meters. To assess the program’s impact, pre- and post-tests were conducted, revealing that participants significantly enhanced their knowledge of climate change, ESG, and GHG principle throughout the field visit and trainings.
The training inspired a strong commitment from PT ISTW Steel to implement ESG best practices and reduce their GHG emissions. Tri Hita Consulting remains dedicated to support PT ISTW Steel on its path to sustainability and looks forward to a fruitful collaboration that will set a positive example for the industry.
