Tri Hita Consulting supported us in mapping key challenges in decarbonising emissions in Indonesia’s power sector and demonstrating how biomass cofiring can reduce reliance on coal, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and support our decarbonisation roadmap. Throughout the process, Tri Hita Consulting provided strong support to the team through their analysis of carbon market regulations, as well as PLN’s emissions evaluation and reporting mechanisms. Tri Hita’s input during focus group discussions and report development also added useful insights. We greatly value this collaborative approach between AFD, PLN, BioTanah, Tri Hita Consulting, and IPPs, and we look forward to future joint efforts in advancing cleaner energy solutions.

We collaborated with Tri Hita Consulting on Decarbonising Indonesia through Biogas, part of the Mitigation Action Facility’s Call for Projects 2023. From the outset of the outline phase to the detailed preparation phase, they provided significant technical and strategic input throughout the process. Their work on proposal writing, project planning, GHG mitigation assessment, financial model inputs, and practical implementation plan helped establish a strong basis for moving the project forward in support of Indonesia’s decarbonisation agenda. We value Tri Hita Consulting’s outstanding deliverables, which demonstrated both depth of expertise and commitment throughout the process.

As part of GGGI’s commitment to support Indonesia’s net zero emission targets, we collaborated with Tri Hita and technical experts to conduct comprehensive training on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Innovative Finance for the renewable energy sector. Tri Hita did impressive work in organizing and facilitating the training, which engaged participants through case studies and interactive sharing of best practices. Tri Hita’s support has been seamless and outstanding, from the facilitation of the sessions to the technical and logistical assistance. Their professionalism and adaptability made the workshop genuinely impactful. We look forward to exploring future collaboration opportunities.

I have worked closely with Tri Hita Consulting since 2021 to support Indonesian companies conducting GHG inventories to increase access to low-cost finance. This gave me many opportunities to appreciate Tri Hita Consulting’s highly professional and adaptive expertise. They guided the related Protelindo team to expand their GHG calculation to our subsidiaries.The report contained practical recommendations for reducing our emissions, which were based on the data from my inventory. Tri Hita supported us in the process of a type II verification of a GHG Inventory and in providing assurance statements for the Sustainability Report of CIMB Niaga in 2023.They have partially verified the data, methodology used, and findings from the GHG inventory. Besides their verification, Tri Hita Consulting provided CIMB Niaga with recommendations on how to improve their GHG inventory in the future by demonstrating and giving an example on how to calculate GHG accordingly. We are very pleased with the results & collaboration with the Tri Hita team. Hope we can collaborate more in the future!

We collaborated with Tri Hita Consulting in 2021 to assist us in developing a GHG inventory for our 13 Mini Hydro power plants. The first phase of this project focused on collecting the data remotely from the power plants and providing a first calculation. Thus, close collaboration with our team and respective power plant managers was necessary to explain the data needed. We found Fred, Verena and Lidia very supportive, including online and direct communication. The GHG inventory brought a first awareness in Tamaris of our positive impact on the environment. We will collaborate more with Tri Hita in the future.

The Tri Hita Consulting team worked with us from September 2021 to March 2022 to develop a GHG inventory for our operations. We were not only impressed by the Tri Hita Consulting team regarding their flexibility to adjust to the tasks at hand but also because of their technical knowledge to break down complex material into simple terms that could be understood by our staff. Due to their report and input, we were able to get into dialogue with a GHG benchmarking company to adjust their carbon projections for different companies so they could reflect more reality in Indonesia and SouthEast Asia. End of 2019, Verena from Tri Hita Consulting assisted our project in conducting a workshop in Manila, Philippines, focused on BOI tax incentives for Energy Efficiency. I was impressed by her institutional understanding and to ensure that mandated participants were present. As a result, the WS BOI has formed a joint task-force group with the Department of Energy to work on tax incentive guidelines on EE to support the EE conservation Act. The Team valued her good communication skills, quick and high quality feedback as well as profound expertise. Thus, I recommend Tri Hita Consulting’s services to any other project who is seeking impact.

Since the beginning of 2020 we have partnered with Verena to offer climate change assessment services to our clients, in particular financial institutions. I appreciate her open and timely communication and making sure outputs are delivered on time. Further, her energy and enthusiasm for the work is impressive which has also been noted from our Indonesian clients. IDX has initiated efforts to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions as part of our core mission to develop the Indonesia Capital Market. Tri Hita Consulting was our valuable partner to assist us with SBTi awareness raising, conduct GHG inventory and target setting and potential SBTI engagement. Throughout the process, we valued their expert advice on the SBTi process. They made sure we follow the necessary steps, starting with a detailed GHG inventory for us and our subsidiaries. We are delighted to say that the first GHG inventory is done, but more capacity development and data collection must also follow from our subsidiaries. We were pleased with the collaboration.
